I LOVE watching how jewelry styles and demands change, so here's what we're seeing as we head into fall, plus a few of my own predictions and styling recommendations.
1. Expect to see styles this fall that revive vintage pieces. Look for call backs to playful childhood styles and jewelry, as well as ornate, antique pieces. Both lend well to hybrid styles that incorporate simple, modern staples that blend well with their vintage personalities. Think: long lockets, estate jewelry, and one of a kind clip on earrings (bonus points if they were your gran's!). Keep in mind that vintage pieces can benefit from unexpected styling: brooches and earrings can double as pendants, be worn through button holes and clipped around collars.

2. This fall, expect to see large, solo sculptural and textured pieces. Extra-chunky cuban chains (wear them around 16 - 18 in) will lead the pack, followed by oversized earrings and sculptural hoops. These sorts of investment pieces do best when the rest of your look is minimal and elegant enough to support them. Think of pairing these with mid-weight classics, including basic gold hoops, understated signet rings, and plain cuff bracelets. Dainty pieces will look off-balance next to oversized jewelry, but anything much larger than mid-weight will compete with your statement piece.
3. This fall may see a relatively big hurrah for rose gold. Its less wildly popular than in previous years, but fall is its winning season, so expect to see a boost for it before silver takes over this winter. For rose gold lovers out there, scoop up your favorite pieces while they're still available, and bask in how lovely it looks as the light gets long and wardrobe palettes deepen a shade. We recommend pairing it with everything: rose gold is a super-versatile color that tends to flatter a wide range of skin tones and it blends well in multi-metal looks. Rose gold naturally leans toward feminine, elegant, and simple designs.
